June 18th, 2014 – The High School Starleague (HSL) is excited to announce a major partnership with Robert Morris University (RMU). Under this partnership, participants in the High School Starleague will be eligible to attend Robert Morris University on an athletic scholarship, covering 50% of both tuition and room and board, in addition to other perks. What is the HSL? How can I join?
The High School Starleague is the premier eSports league for team based eSports competitions between pre-collegiate academic institutions. We’ve been hosting tournaments for League of Legends, Dota 2, and Starcraft 2.
HSL runs two semester-based seasons during the school year, one for Fall and Spring. The top teams from both qualify into culminating tournament and live Grand Finals event, where teams play for scholarships.
We’re offering over $20,000 in scholarships to any to the winners of our live Grand Finals event which taking place June 27 and 28th at the Grand Del Mar in San Diego. If you’re interested in joining us at the Grand Del Mar, you can head over to our information page to find out more.
When can I participate?
Aside from running events during the school year, HSL runs shorter events during the summer. This year, our summer tournament will take place in July and August.
